We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our dynamic team to provide expert care and support during a period of increased demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with various ophthalmic conditions.
• Perform ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and other specialist procedures as required.
• Lead outpatient clinics, managing a complex caseload efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with other consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and clinical audits.
• Contribute to the training and supervision of junior staff and ophthalmology trainees.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice and inclusion on the Specialist Register in Ophthalmology.
• Extensive experience working as a Consultant Ophthalmologist, including proficiency in cataract surgery and other specialist procedures.
• Strong clinical decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex cases independently.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous professional development.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
