We are seeking an experienced Locum Biomedical Scientist. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and interpreting a wide range of diagnostic tests, working across various specializations to support accurate and timely patient diagnoses. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art laboratory, contributing directly to patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex analyses in areas such as hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, or transfusion science.
• Interpret test results accurately and report findings in a timely manner.
• Adhere to quality control protocols, ensuring all results meet regulatory and Trust standards.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide relevant and reliable test results for patient management.
• Ensure accurate documentation and patient data handling in compliance with NHS and Trust guidelines.

Essential Criteria:

• BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Experience in one or more key areas of laboratory science (e.g., hematology, microbiology, biochemistry).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
