As a Locum Surgical Ward Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the surgical ward. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients.
• Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Prepare patients for surgeries and assist during operations as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with NMC registration.
• Extensive experience in a surgical ward setting.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
