Description

We are looking for an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join our imaging team on a locum basis. In this role, you will perform a range of ultrasound examinations to support accurate diagnoses, collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. This is a great opportunity for a qualified sonographer to work in a fast-paced, high-tech setting with access to the latest imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct ultrasound examinations in various areas, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and small parts imaging.
Interpret scan results accurately and provide detailed reports to assist clinicians in diagnostic and treatment decisions.
Ensure patient comfort and provide clear explanations throughout the examination process.
Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all imaging procedures, adhering to Trust protocols and regulatory requirements.
Ensure ultrasound equipment is properly maintained and follow quality assurance protocols.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care plans.

Essential Criteria:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Ultrasound.
Registration with HCPC or relevant professional body.
Proven experience as a Band 7 Sonographer in a clinical setting.
Proficiency in performing a range of ultrasound procedures, with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills.
