We are seeking a skilled Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the provision of high-quality pharmacy services, including the dispensing of medications, stock management, and assisting with patient medication reviews. This role is an opportunity to contribute to safe and effective medication management within a supportive team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense and prepare medications according to prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Trust and NHS standards.
Support the pharmacy team in managing stock control and inventory.
Conduct medication history reviews and patient counseling, helping patients understand their medication regimen.
Assist in maintaining and updating pharmacy records, following regulatory and Trust protocols.
Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Provide input into service improvements and quality initiatives within the pharmacy.

Essential Criteria:

NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Previous experience working as a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
