Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum Band 7 CBT Therapist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, delivering high-quality Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to clients with a range of mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and other common mental health conditions
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, formulate individualized treatment plans, and deliver targeted interventions
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and write reports in accordance with service guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and provide input on complex cases
- Provide supervision and support to junior staff, trainees, or assistant psychologists where appropriate
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity in all client interactions
- Evaluate and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet client needs and outcomes
- Contribute to the development of service delivery models, promoting innovation and improvements in client care
- Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring that therapeutic interventions are delivered in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Accredited Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) with full BABCP registration
- Degree in psychology or a related field and relevant postgraduate qualification in CBT
- Proven experience delivering CBT interventions, ideally within an NHS or similar healthcare setting
- Strong assessment and formulation skills, with experience managing complex cases
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice
