Description

As a Locum ADHD Nurse, you will provide specialist care to children, adolescents, and/or adults diagnosed with ADHD. This includes conducting assessments, supporting medication titration, and delivering patient-focused interventions. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to promote effective management and positive outcomes for individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive ADHD assessments, including gathering clinical history and utilizing evidence-based tools.
Support medication titration and ongoing management, monitoring patient responses and potential side effects.
Provide advice and education to patients, families, and carers on ADHD management strategies and treatment plans.
Deliver structured psychoeducation and behavioral interventions tailored to patient needs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in line with professional and organizational standards.
Support the development and implementation of ADHD care pathways and protocols.
Act as a point of contact for patients, families, and other professionals involved in care.
Stay up to date with current ADHD research and best practices to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Essential Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN/RMN/RNLD) with valid NMC registration.
Proven experience working with individuals with ADHD or other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Strong understanding of ADHD management, including medication and non-pharmacological interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
