We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Band 6/Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our Enhanced Dementia Care Service in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to patients with dementia, helping them to achieve optimal levels of independence and well-being.

Responsibilities:-

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized occupational therapy programs for patients with dementia.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs of patients.
• Develop and deliver tailored interventions to enhance patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and carers to develop personalized care plans.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and other therapists.
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and carers on dementia care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and service development activities.

Essential Criteria:-

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
• Significant post-qualification experience, particularly in dementia care.
• Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
