Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Consultant Community Paediatrician. This role is ideal for a highly skilled paediatrician looking to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of children in the community. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive paediatric care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of paediatric patients in the community setting.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each child and their family.
- Provide expert advice and management for a wide range of paediatric conditions.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals, to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Deliver health promotion and disease prevention activities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with NHS guidelines.
- Engage in clinical audits, research, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, trainees, and other healthcare staff.
- Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Essential Criteria:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- CCT in Paediatrics or equivalent (or within 6 months of obtaining CCT).
- Extensive experience in community paediatrics.
- Strong clinical skills in the assessment and management of paediatric patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
