Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Locum Physiotherapist with specialized experience in Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Paediatric care. This role is perfect for an experienced physiotherapist who is passionate about providing top-tier care to children and adolescents with musculoskeletal conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of paediatric patients with MSK conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, function, and quality of life.
- Use a range of physiotherapy techniques and interventions to treat conditions such as sports injuries, developmental disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care to manage and prevent MSK conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to provide holistic care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in accordance with NHS guidelines.
- Participate in case conferences, clinical audits, and research activities to contribute to the continuous improvement of paediatric MSK services.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in paediatric MSK physiotherapy through continuous professional development.
Essential Criteria:
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Extensive experience in paediatric MSK physiotherapy.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for paediatric patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Experience in working within an NHS or similar healthcare setting.
