We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will work with patients to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life following illness, injury, or disability. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in a variety of healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, mental, and social abilities.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans that align with patients’ goals.
• Support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques.
• Educate patients and families on self-care practices and how to use adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing professional advice to healthcare staff.
• Document patient progress in line with NHS standards and Trust policies.

Essential Criteria:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.
• Proven experience working as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist or equivalent level.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively across various healthcare settings and adapt to different patient needs.
