Description
As a Locum Occupational Therapist, you will be a valued member of our rehabilitation team, focusing on helping patients regain independence and achieve optimal functioning in their daily lives. Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support patients' physical and mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Providing therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and cognitive skills.
- Collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve rehabilitation goals.
- Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in occupational therapy practice, preferably within a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
