We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team on a temporary basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing essential mental health care and support to individuals in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
Provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with mental health conditions, ensuring safe and effective interventions in line with best practices
Administer medication and monitor patient progress, ensuring treatment plans are followed and adjusted as needed
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care
Respond to mental health crises, offering support and guidance to patients and their families
Ensure the accurate documentation of patient records, maintaining compliance with clinical governance, legal, and professional standards
Promote patient-centered care and recovery-focused approaches, encouraging self-management and participation in treatment decisions
Participate in clinical meetings, handovers, and service reviews, contributing to service improvements and care quality
Support junior nursing staff and students, providing mentorship, supervision, and guidance as required

Requirements:

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration
Significant post-qualification experience in mental health nursing
Proven ability to undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and develop care plans
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritizing tasks and responding effectively to mental health crises
A compassionate, patient-centered approach, with a commitment to promoting recovery and well-being
Knowledge of mental health legislation, safeguarding practices, and relevant clinical guidelines
