We are currently seeking a Locum Specialist ADHD Nurse. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with patients managing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of individuals with ADHD, developing individualized care plans and treatment strategies
Provide specialist advice and support to patients and their families, helping them understand ADHD and its impact on daily life
Administer and monitor medications in accordance with treatment plans, adjusting as needed in consultation with the clinical team
Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
Offer support and education on coping strategies, behavior management techniques, and lifestyle adjustments for patients and caregivers
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring all notes are completed in line with organizational policies
Actively participate in case discussions and contribute to ongoing treatment planning and reviews
Provide leadership and guidance to junior nursing staff and support workers, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols
Ensure compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and clinical guidelines, including safeguarding policies

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with valid NMC registration
Significant experience in working with patients diagnosed with ADHD, preferably at a specialist level
Proven ability to manage and monitor ADHD medication, including titration and review
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a caseload effectively
Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up-to-date with best practices in ADHD care
