We are seeking an experienced Locum Therapeutic Radiographer to deliver expert radiotherapy services. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, assisting in cancer treatment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:-

• Monitor the health of patients undergoing treatment and report any concerns to the consultant or deputy. Dispense medications as per patient group directives.
• Prioritize patient treatments following departmental protocols during machine downtime.
• Provide high standards of care, maintain confidentiality, and ensure patient needs are met.
• Document deviations in treatment, sign, and date records.
• Maintain equipment, reporting any issues.
• Update radiotherapy knowledge, share within the department, and participate in CPD.
• Supervise and train staff, participate in audits, on-call rota, and assist in policy creation.
• Provide day-to-day organization for the radiotherapy treatment unit to meet targets, and deputize for the CT superintendent in their absence.
• Comply with departmental policies and objectives as identified by the Radiotherapy Services Manager.
• Perform routine procedures related to treatment (e.g., IGRT, in-vivo dosimetry) according to protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and justify decisions made outside of existing protocols.
• Assist in reorganizing staffing levels during crises.
• Negotiate appropriate treatment appointment times with patients on a daily basis.
