We are currently seeking a skilled Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for an experienced gastroenterologist looking to work in a supportive and state-of-the-art environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and functional GI disorders.
• Perform endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Provide expert clinical opinions and detailed reports to referring physicians.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and endoscopy staff.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, standards, and protocols.
• Participate in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance gastroenterology services.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.

Requirements:

• Medical degree with full GMC (General Medical Council) registration and a license to practice.
• CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Gastroenterology or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist, including endoscopic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
