Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Locum Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality physiotherapy services to a diverse patient population, including those with musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory conditions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in various clinical settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community environments, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including exercise programs, manual therapy, and patient education.
  • Provide specialist physiotherapy interventions for a range of conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and respiratory care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to deliver integrated care.
  • Educate patients and their families on self-management techniques and injury prevention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to professional and legal standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
  • Proven experience as a Band 6 Physiotherapist, with expertise in a specialist area (e.g., musculoskeletal, neurology, respiratory).
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
  • Flexibility to work in various clinical settings.
