We are seeking a dedicated Locum Respiratory Consultant to join our dynamic Respiratory Department and provide exceptional care to our patients.

Job Overview:

As a Locum Respiratory Consultant, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of respiratory conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage both acute and chronic respiratory conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist care to patients with respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer.
Perform diagnostic procedures such as bronchoscopy, pulmonary function tests, and imaging reviews.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, junior doctors, and allied health professionals.
Contribute to the on-call rota and provide expert input into emergency cases.
Lead and participate in clinical audits, research, and service improvement initiatives.
Provide education and mentorship to junior medical staff.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in respiratory medicine and apply evidence-based practices in patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Respiratory Medicine or equivalent.
Experience working as a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine.
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work across different shifts, including on-call duties.
