Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Breast Radiologist to join our esteemed healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide specialized radiology services with a focus on breast imaging and diagnostics, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a supportive and multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret a variety of breast imaging studies, including mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs.
  • Conduct image-guided breast biopsies and other interventional procedures.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary breast care team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in breast cancer screening programs and contribute to early detection efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with medical regulations.
  • Engage in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and mentorship to junior radiologists and medical staff.
  • Participate in case discussions, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree with full GMC registration and license to practice.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent in Radiology with a subspecialty in Breast Radiology.
  • Significant experience working at consultant level in Breast Radiology.
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting a wide range of breast imaging studies.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including covering shifts at short notice.
