Description

As a Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine, you will be a key member of our medical team, providing expert care to patients with acute medical conditions. You will be responsible for leading the acute medical unit, ensuring high standards of care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of acute medical conditions.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute medical issues.
Lead ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Supervise and support junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in the on-call rota to provide continuous care.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.

Requirements:

Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
CCT in Acute Medicine or equivalent.
Extensive experience in acute medicine at the consultant level.
Strong leadership and clinical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
