Description
As a Locum Consultant in Oncology, you will be at the forefront of cancer care, providing expert diagnosis and treatment to patients with various malignancies. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized treatment plans and ensure the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of oncological conditions.
- Lead outpatient clinics and inpatient care for oncology patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and medical students.
- Engage in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- CCT in Oncology or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in oncology at the consultant level.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
