Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Oncologist to join our dedicated oncology team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional medical care to patients with cancer, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage patients with cancer, providing comprehensive oncology care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, radiologists, and nurses.
- Participate in clinical trials and research to advance oncology care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with medical regulations.
- Engage in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide education and mentorship to junior medical staff and medical students.
- Participate in case discussions, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Requirements:
- Medical degree with full GMC registration and license to practice.
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent in Oncology.
- Significant experience working at consultant level in Oncology.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
- Ability to work flexibly, including covering shifts at short notice.
