Description
As a Locum Band 6/7 Neuro Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for patients with neurological conditions. Your expertise will contribute to the rehabilitation and improved quality of life for patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for patients with neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' independence and facilitate recovery.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including cognitive rehabilitation, task-specific training, and adaptive techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques, self-management strategies, and ongoing care.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in neuro occupational therapy.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience working as an occupational therapist with neurological patients, preferably at Band 6 or 7 level.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
