As a Locum Band 6 Hand Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments and treatments for patients with hand and upper limb conditions. You will work in a supportive environment, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques to aid in the rehabilitation and recovery of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hand and upper limb conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve function and reduce pain.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise programs, splinting, and education.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Educate patients and their families on management strategies and preventive measures.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in hand therapy.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience working as a hand therapist, preferably at Band 6 level.
- Proficiency in a range of therapeutic techniques for hand and upper limb rehabilitation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
