We are seeking an experienced Locum Band 7 Vascular Scientist / Sonographer. As a key member of the clinical team, you will perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations and assist in diagnosing a range of vascular conditions. Your role will help support the delivery of essential diagnostic services, working closely with consultants, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vascular ultrasound examinations including carotid, aortic, lower limb arterial, and venous duplex scanning.
• Provide accurate and detailed reports of ultrasound findings to assist in clinical decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain high standards of practice in line with local and national guidelines.
• Ensure the care, safety, and dignity of patients during examinations.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and ensure equipment is functioning optimally.

Requirements:

• HCPC Registered or Accredited by the Society for Vascular Technology (SVT) or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Band 7 Vascular Scientist / Sonographer within the NHS or equivalent healthcare system.
• Competency in performing a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler and duplex studies.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to provide clear, concise reports.
