We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Band 7 Vascular Scientist / Sonographer to join our team on a locum basis. The ideal candidate will conduct specialized vascular assessments and scans, utilizing their expertise to support accurate diagnoses and patient care. This role is a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality vascular imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, peripheral arterial, venous, and abdominal aortic scans.
• Analyze and interpret scan results, providing detailed reports for clinicians to aid in diagnostic and treatment decisions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear explanations and ensuring comfort throughout the examination.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, following quality assurance protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care plans.
• Ensure all documentation and records comply with NHS and Trust standards.

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant degree in Clinical Physiology, Vascular Science, or equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with the HCPC or relevant professional body.
• Proven experience working in vascular ultrasound at a Band 7 level or equivalent.
• Proficiency in conducting and interpreting a variety of vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Strong patient communication skills and a commitment to high-quality care.
