Description

One of our clients based in Aberdeen are looking for a Consultant Endoscopist. Main Duties:

Reporting to Clinical Director the Endoscopist will be required to perform a range of Diagnostic Endoscopic procedures.
You must comply to the British Society of Gastroenterologist guidelines and participate in the collection and submission of Global Rating Scale and patient outcome data valid towards annual revalidation of JAG accreditation.

Management Responsibility:

Clinical Expertise and Leadership across Endoscopy.

Qualifications:

A UK registerable Medical Degree
GMC registration with a license to practice
Entry on to the specialist register for Gastroenterology or General Surgery
JAG Accreditation

Experience Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate an exceptional level of skill in the following areas:

Diagnostic Colonoscopy
Diagnostic Gastroscopy
Diagnostic Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
Ability to undertake clinical audit of work and apply findings to clinical work
Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required to gaining UK CCST
Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of issues in elective gastroenterology, drawing on substantive experience in the speciality.
Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
