Description
We have an exiting opportunity for a passionate and experienced ODP or Theatre Nurse to take the next step in their career by joining our dedicated perioperative team as a Lead Theatre Practitioner.
Role Responsibilities include:
- Working as the lead member of the recovery team you will ensure a high standard of clinical care and safety for patients within the theatre unit.
- To provide clinical leadership to junior staff, deputising for the deputy theatre manager when necessary.
- Communicating effectively with other departments e.g. Sterile Services, Wards, and Imaging department to ensure efficient patient care.
- Preparing operating and anaesthetic rooms for surgery as required. To include equipment and supplies required for specific procedures, ensuring appropriate use of resources and minimal waste.
- Ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention and control are carried out.
- Assessing patient care requirements, implementing care and evaluating outcomes.
