Description

We are currently recruiting for a newly created position in our Outpatients Nursing department. The main purpose of the role is to plan and implement high standards of clinical care including delivering health promotion and discharge advice for patients, following hospital guidelines and protocols, promoting a patient-focused approach to care. Actively supporting to the deliver the Hospital’s business objectives.

This is a full - time, permanent position.

About the Role:-

Act as the patient’s advocate ensuring delivery of safe and effective care within the Preoperative environment
Assist the Preoperative Assessment Lead to ensure that the Preoperative Assessment Service is efficiently and effectively managed at all times
Ensure patient care areas are safe, fit for purpose and effectively maintained
Ensure patient information data is correctly recorded in the appropriate IT systems
Maintain the safe custody of medications
Give general supervision to junior members of the team, including providing clinical supervision/being a mentor, being accountable for Preoperative Assessment in the absence of the Preoperative Assessment Lead
