We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and compassionate registered practitioner to join our Theatres team as a Theatre Practitioner.  This role is ideally suited to a registered practitioner (Nurse or ODP) with demonstratable experience working in scrub and / or anaesthetics, who is looking to progress their perioperative career in a clinical environment that will support your ongoing professional development to help you operate at your fullest potential.

Responsibilities:-

• Work primarily as an anaesthetic and scrub practitioner, occasionally being required to work as a recovery practitioner.
• Assess patient care requirements independently and act as a resource for other staff.
• Implement patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with other departments e.g. Sterile Services, Wards, Imaging Department to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
• Ensure that patients’ comfort, dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
• Ensure that your own practice and the practice of others is within an ethical and legal framework.
