Description
As a Consultant in Acute / General Medicine, you will be a vital part of our healthcare team, providing expert medical care to patients with acute and general medical conditions. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standards of care and contributing to the development of innovative treatment protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert diagnosis and management of acute and general medical conditions.
- Lead and participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide continuous care.
- Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- CCT in Acute / General Medicine or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in acute and general medicine at the consultant level.
- Strong leadership and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
